This tour will show you Croatia’s highlights over an 9-day period while keeping you active though various daily excursions. You will visit some of the most beautiful parts of that country as we start from Dubrovnik and slowly travel north, visiting Split, Zadar, National park’s Krka, Paklenica and Plitvice Lakes. Our tour ends in the most beautiful continental region Zagorje. Croatian food and wine are an inevitable part of this trip and together with the itinerary guarantee a beautiful, authentic Croatian experience.
Day 1
Arrive in Dubrovnik- the Pearl of the Adriatic, a city with a warm cultural and historical heritage. After settling into your accommodation, we will meet for dinner and brief orientation, where we will have the chance to discuss the upcoming holiday and get to know our fellow travelers. After dinner Hotel spa and wellness services will help you to relax and rejuvenate. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 2
Sea Kayaking Kolocep. We will set off in our kayaks from Zaton Bay and paddle across to and around Kolocep. Discover its blue caves, impressive cliffs and reefs, sandy beaches, romantic villages and pleasant walks. We stop for a mid-day break and lunch in a little village on Sipan called Sudurad. On paddle back we visit uninhabited Ruda island with an optional stop for a swim and paddle into a cave facing Lopud. We’re back on Lopud in time for the ferry for Dubrovnik. After the sea kayaking spend the evening in Dubrovnik Old Town with local guide. Dinner. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 3
After breakfast departure for Split. Rafting on the Cetina River. We drive north towards a small village near Omis, where our adventure on the Cetina River begins. Clear green water, jungle-like forests, caves and waterfalls will thrill you and make this rafting trip an unforgettable experience. The trip ends at Radman Mills, a national restaurant in a beautiful setting of old mills once powered by the waters of the Cetina River. After lunch, we continue towards Split. Check in. Later in the afternoon our local guide will show you the historic city centre. Enjoy the immense history, charm and activity of one of the Adriatic’s most amazing seaports. Free evening and dinner on your own. Overnight in Split.
Day 4
We will spend the day visiting one of Croatia’s most popular national parks: the Krka River National Park. A short boat ride will take us from Skradin to the 44-meters high Skradinski Buk Waterfall. Fantastic karst formations and travertine waterfalls make it a beautiful swimming area. This is the famous place where the second hydroelectric power plant in the world was built, just three days after the first hydroelectric power plant on Niagara Falls. There will be time for lunch and a swim. You will be able to admire the Krka River National Park abundant wildlife, particularly birds – more than 200 different species can be seen. Today activity program is a well-balanced mixture of activity, nature and culture. After trekking departure to hotel in Zadar and enjoy a late afternoon in the old town and a walk in the Park with local guide. Free evening and dinner on your own Overnight in Zadar.
Day 5
Today we take bikes and explore the Paklenica Riviera. We start bikeing through small villages under the mountain. The road will take us to the entrance of the NP from where we will take a walk to an archeological exploration of Paklarić fort where the prehistoric and medieval ceramics were discovered. Standing on the fort we will enjoy a magnificent view of the Paklenica Riviera. From there we will follow an educational track following the boarder of the NP and leading us through old villages all the way to Reljan village. The educational track “A Short Journey through History” is part of pedestrian and bike track. It is equipped with five boards presenting the history of the area from prehistoric times to date. Going back to Starigrad we will use small roads enjoying the view. There also might be time for swimming and relaxing on one of the beaches.. Free evening for relax. Dinner. Overnight in Zadar.
