DAY 2
After breakfast, you will be collected by your driver who will take you to Tarangire River Camp in Tarangire National Park, noted for its Elephant population and spectacular baobabs of every shape creating a beautiful setting. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch in your vehicle followed by an amazing afternoon game drive in the Tarangire National Park.
If you are looking for an authentic safari experience under traditional canvas showcasing spacious views and enriching culture, Tarangire River Camp, where there is always a warm welcome and a wonderful atmosphere, is the perfect choice.
Set within a 25,000-hectare concession area, Tarangire River Camp is located 3.5 km from the main entrance of the Tarangire National Park, overlooking a branch of the Tarangire River itself. Nestled between the Maasai Steppe and The Great Rift Valley, Tarangire features the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti. It is the distinct animal life of the park’s river that serves as the primary attraction. During the dry season, elephant dig deep into the riverbed while antelope congregate around shrinking water holes, closely followed by predatory animals like lion and leopard. Tarangire is also the country’s bird and baobab paradise.

DAY 3
Today you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park, enjoy a picnic lunch in the vehicle en route to your hotel, the Acacia Farm Lodge and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park. Lake Manyara National Park is known for the flamingos that inhabit the lake. During the wet season they inhabit the edges of the lake in flocks of thousands but they are not so present during the dry season. Stretching for 50km along the base of the rusty-gold 600-metre high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. The compact game-viewing circuit through Manyara offers a virtual microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience.
From the entrance gate, the road winds through an expanse of lush jungle-like groundwater forest where hundred-strong baboon troops lounge nonchalantly along the roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly between the ancient mahogany trees, dainty bushbuck tread warily through the shadows, and outsized forest hornbills honk cacophonously in the high canopy.
Contrasting with the intimacy of the forest is the grassy floodplain and its expansive views eastward, across the alkaline lake, to the jagged blue volcanic peaks that rise from the endless Maasai Steppes. Large buffalo, wildebeest and zebra herds congregate on these grassy plains, as do giraffes – some so dark in coloration that they appear to be black from a distance.
Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Acacia Farm Lodge is located in Karatu. The accommodation will provide you with a TV and air conditioning. Complete with a refrigerator, the dining area also has an electric kettle and a dining table. Featuring a shower, private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer and bathrobes. You can enjoy garden view from the room. Extras include a minibar, a seating area and a DVD player. At Acacia Farm Lodge you will find a 24-hour front desk, a garden and barbecue facilities.
